Key Points made by Jimmy:

  • Jimmy was inspired by The Adkins Diet and the concept of eating low carb. In the first month he lost thirty pounds and felt an incredible amount of energy.
  • He was also able to start getting off his medications within a month of starting his health journey.
  • His blood pressure was normal at about three months, and his cholesterol was normal at about nine months.
  • That fist year he lost 180 pounds, but more important than that Jimmy says was his health gain.
  • Jimmy said his biggest struggle was to change everything he thought he believed about nutrition, health, fitness, low calorie diets, ‘eat like a rabbit’, ‘never have anything fun to eat again’, portion control, etc. He has to do a total paradigm shift in his head.
  • Most mainstream medical professionals will tell you this is a dangerous diet, but they won’t tell you that it actually improves your heart health, lowers your blood sugar, and lowers inflammation overall.
  • There are over 185 scientific studies that have looked at the low carb, high fat ketogenic diet and the effects on health.
  • Jimmy often is not even hungry and will usually only eat one or two big meals a day.
  • Jimmy is very carb sensitive and has to keep his carbs extra low.
  • A meal might look like: four eggs cooked in grass-fed butter with hard cheese and sour cream, avocado, and maybe even bacon or sausage on the side.
  • This is a lot of calories all at once but remember it may be the only meal he eats in a day so the calories (1600-1800 calories) balance out in the end.
  • Having this much fat in your diet will make you feel so satisfied and full of energy it will surprise you.
  • Listen to your biology to tell you when to eat instead of the clock telling you when to eat.
  • There’s no real reason to be fat phobic.
  • Mindset tip: Visualize your end game. What is your big ‘why’ as to why you’re doing this and write it down. Anytime you get discouraged look at your big ‘why’ to help you get through any struggles.
  • “Dr. Atkins’ New Diet Revolution” is the book that inspired Jimmy.
  • Jimmy says don’t buy into the Adkins’ nutritional products as this isn’t actually the real Adkins approach.
  • There are many great books that Jimmy recommends if you want to learn more!
