What Your Body is Telling You with Erin Chamerlik

In this episode of The Functional Medicine Radio Show, Dr. Carri’s special guest Erin Chamerlik takes a fun, educational look at some of the signs and symptoms that the body can give us, and a few of their root causes.

Erin is a holistic nutrition educator and wellness coach. She is passionate about health and nutrition, and a strong advocate for natural health.

Erin got seriously ill and realized that the diet and medical advice she was being given wasn’t working. She had chronic hives that plagued her daily for over 2 years and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, specifically Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. When her doctor suggested that she start on antidepressant medications to cure her hives, she knew that she needed to find answers.

She used her knowledge of medicine and science to research the field of nutrition, developing programs and educational materials to help individuals learn how to incorporate simple strategies to improve their health and wellness. Through drastic changes in her diet and lifestyle her body healed itself of hives. As a bonus, she was able to reduce her thyroid medication. Her energy levels soared and she returned to running and working out at the health club.
